Gail Zappa

Gail Zappa says: I have changed more diapers in my life than I have ever changed my mind. However, I have a lot of opinions, some of which I’ll share. Some people believe I was married to a rock star. That’s not true. That’s their opinion. I confess I’ve had to tone down my enthusiasm in certain parts of my body for certain electric guitarists—by reason of giving birth to one. I used to be shy, then I met Frank Zappa. He once told me if I ever wrote a book about my life I should call it “I Married A Creep” (that was of course before Watergate). In fact, I married a Composer. My day job, not unlike the Los Angeles Police Department, is to “Protect and Serve”—protect the integrity of the Work of the Artist and serve the Intent of the Composer.
